ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL SUSTAINABILITY

  • We pledge to respect the environment in the entire process of production and marketing of ice cream.
  • We use biodegradable packages and others disposables (cups and spoons). Our take away family boxes, are entirely compostable.
  • In the production process, we always use (when it is possible), Portuguese products and we prefer fair trade raw materials. We respectthe environment and consumer tendencies to respect the environment which prefer natural, authentic products..
  • We prefer national producers.Thus we contribute to environmental sustainability and reduce to a minimum our carbon footprint in the transport of raw materials.

COOPERATION

FRAGOLETO TEACHES ICE CREAM TECHNIQUE IN SENEGAL

As part of a cooperation partnership with FoProBio - Fédération des Organizations Productrices Bio - Fragoleto provided professional training on ice cream in Senegal.

Members of this agricultural cooperative learned the main techniques involved in the production of a good ice cream, using local ingredients (baobab, hibiscus, mango, peanut, cashew).
Ice creams produced by the trainees were offered to children of the local football club.

FoProBio is a cooperative of small farmers located in Diourbel, a village in the center of the country. It produces, transforms and exports organic farm products.
