ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL SUSTAINABILITY

  • We are committed to respect the environment in the whole process of production and commercialisation of the ice creams.
  • We use biodegradable packaging and consumables (cups and spoons). Our family isothermic boxes, which allow you to take ice cream home, are fully compostable (they degrade quickly once released into the environment).
  • In the production of our ice creams, we use, whenever possible, Portuguese products and we prefer fair trade raw materials. We respectOur line of ice creams with organic certification is also part of this policy of respect for the environment which prefer natural, authentic products.
  • We prefer national producers.We thus contribute to social sustainability and minimise the carbon footprint in the transportation of raw materials.

COOPERATION

FRAGOLETO TEACHES ICE CREAM TECHNIQUE IN SENEGAL

As part of a cooperation partnership with FoProBio - Fédération des Organizations Productrices Bio - In January 2020, Fragoleto held a professional ice cream training course in Senegal.

The employees of this agricultural cooperative learned the main techniques of producing a good ice cream using local ingredients, (mucua/ baobab, hibiscus, mango, peanut, cashew).
The ice cream produced by the trainees were offered to the children of the local football team.

Foprobio is a cooperative of small farmers located in Diourbel, a village in the central region of this African country. It produces, processes and exports organically certified agricultural products.
